Welcome to Florida's first ever EMP event. The Lupercalia! A festival celebrating the suckling of Romulus and Remus and the rites of love and spring . There will be feasting and celebration for all recreating the legendary fetes of the Romans. Explore Roman costuming and games, including battles on the floor of the arena. Recline in splendor and enjoy the all-day included feast or perhaps try your own hand in the arena. Compete for the elusive rudius. We will have traditional gladitorial weapons pairings in EMP style for your use and also will have light weapons and live steel activities. We have a number of expert entertainers already confirmed and the revelry promises to be epic. Whether you come as an aristocrat, plebe, slave, or something more exotic from the far reaches of the Empire, you will find a home. If you don't have anything Roman, your usual medievalist gear is fine. In typical EMP fashion, we will have visitors from several different
organizations with different traditions which are all welcome.

Speaking of home. This event is being held on our own private property and no outside "site rules" apply. We intend to embrace the spirit of Lupercalia. Not guaranteed to be "kid friendly" after dark. We are asking for as many period tents as possible to help create our space. We have limited amounts of extra period tents for those flying in. There will also be communal floor space indoors.

There will be a tavern, covered staging area for fighters, and some extra surprises. We are <2 miles from major shopping and hotels are within reach for those so inclined. We will be shuttling people to and from Orlando International which is about 10 miles away, call ahead to arrange a ride.

For our out of town guests; Florida weather is mild and dry during winter, if tenting do bring some warm stuff as the temp has dipped below freezing last 2 winters in a row. Rain is always possible, as is sunny and warm. This is truly the best time to don armour in florida.
