Heraldry

 

To enhance our enjoyment of medieval events the use of heraldry is highly encouraged. Empire members and events attendees can choose a medieval device, often called a Coat of Arms. This can be as simple or complex as you desire. The Empire does not restrict the use of any heraldric device, but does encourage people to try to use symbols that are medieval or ancient in nature.

 

 

 

 

 

There are many ways to display your personal Coat of Arms. Some ideas include painting it on your shield (which you can have even if your aren't a fighter), constructing a banner or making a dress. In reality the sky is the limti. You could paint, embroider, applique, or carve your device on every single piece of medieval gear that you owned if you wanted to!
