Come wile away the chilly autumn nights with a warm fire and warmer company with Fortress Viadrina. Our fifth annual Harvest Festival and Tavern will take place on September 23-25.

Basic Schedule:
Friday evening is primarily intended for setup. There will be a fire in the Tavern for light and conversation. Warm drinks will be provided.

...A pancake breakfast will be served early Saturday morning for a small donation. Games, classes and contests will be available to partake in during the day. Check with the Chamberlain at gate for more details and sign in sheets. The Kubb tourney will be running all day, Make sure to form your team and make those games happen.

Saturday evening (roughly 7 pm) there will be a Potluck Feast proceeding the Tavern. Bring a contribution to celebrate the oncoming harvest. Contact Cera to let her know what you are bringing or to get a suggestion. A pit roasted pig will be provided by the Culinary Guild! During the feast we will celebrate our first anniversary of becoming a level two branch and the people that made it possible! Awards will be granted and glasses will be raised to our hard won accomplishments.

The IRON CHEF VIADRINA competition will run during the feast. The Culinary Guild has volunteered to be our guest judges. Points will be awarded for taste, periodness and presentation.

Tavern opens at 9 pm. Save up your pennies and dust off your gaming boards, don’t forget your dice! Come and partake in a friendly Tablero tournament! Small children should be safely tucked into the quiet camping area during the Tavern. Entertainers of all kinds will be rewarded for their efforts.

Make sure to check the Tavern "Rules of Engagement" posted in their own document to avoid disappointment.

Location: This year the festivities will take place at our new site Sanudo Manor located at 25133 0 Avenue, Langley, BC. There are outdoor camping spots for those who are interested. Bunk down space indoors will be also available on a first come first served basis (bring your own sleeping gear.)

Site Details: $10 is the day-tripping fee for Saturday. $14 for all three days. Children under 12 free. All Children must be accompanied by their legal guardian or a responsible adult approved by the guardian. Family cap of $35. Site opens at 6 pm on Friday for setup and closes on Sunday at 12 pm.

As per the new rules no pets of any kind at the event. This is for the safety of the farm animals as well as the safety of your own.

Alcohol is allowed, in period containers. Please remember to have a designated driver or take advantage of our overnight camping if you choose to partake. Clean up after yourself, a place for empties will be provided. No illegal substances are allowed on the premises.
