One of the primary pleasures to be found within the Empire lies in the study, appreciation, and pursuit of ancient arts and sciences. Whether you choose to experience these joys first hand by joining in their study and recreation, or simply choose to admire them, the arts and sciences will permeate of your EMP experience. From the nightly drumming and dancing to the laborious creation and display of calligraphy and illumination the arts are integral to what we do and who we are.
Sharing information is a delight for both the instructor and the student and we encourage everyone with a craft to share to do so, to this end all of our events will have classes for little or no cost to the attendees. Throughout the Empire there are instructors awaiting students, and students searching for instruction, which shall you be? There are classes on varied subjects: dance, medieval calligraphy and illumination, and viking hat making are just a few. Classes take place both at weekly and monthly locations and during events.
