Archery, Thrown and Siege Weapons

 

The Empire promotes the practice of archery and hurled weaponry both on and off the field of combat, and all citizens are encouraged to become proficient in both.

During combat scenarios the poundage of bows and crossbows are restricted for safety and the use of specially designed blunts is required. However, during archery and hurled weapon competitions these requirements are waived.

 

Many sorts of thrown weapons are used. Javelins, axes, and slings have all been implented during our larger melees.

We also have had the fortune to explore the creation and use of siege weapons.

One really fun activity we have had at ragnaroc is the Rus run. Where you take a guided tour through the woods shooting a bow, throwing axes, and knives at appointed targets.
