Leadership of al-Madeena

The current leader of al-Madeena is Calipha Tayissa Azra. She initially won title to the crescent seat in a contest of arms and has since maintained the loyalty and ideology of the group through strong and insightful leadership. Our Lady bears the voice and will of al-Madeena into the House of Lords and personifies the strength and integrity we strive to embody.

However, we must always be prepared for another to be chosen and in keeping with the laws of the Empire, each year in the spring the leadership of al-Madeena may be challenged by any of its citizenry. The method of challenge is determined by the spinning of the “Wheel of Destiny”. The Wheel has 24 slots with martial, artistic, and service oriented challenges on it; some could be considered typical while others are quite unique! Any individual wishing to become leader has the option of using a Champion. This Champion must also be a current member of al-Madeena.
